“What sort of wine tour do you want?”

We have been asking you – in our newsletter, in Facebook postings, and in direct conversations. From those who have been on our multi-day tours, the feedback is excellent. People tell us that they searched long and hard for long comprehensive wine-tours such as ours and that the few they found of our type, were far more expensive.

However, the feedback – that we have had from many of you is that our tours sound wonderful, but that their cost is beyond affordability. One of the factors that determine’s the cost is the number of people in the group. Most of our tours are for small private parties of up to seven people driven by a chauffeur in an 8-seater vehicle and conducted by one of us. In the past, we have tried to price ourselves at a level where we do not lose too much money if we only have two applicants.

Other feedback we have received is that many of you would like a short wine
tour during a holiday that you have already planned in the area.

In response to these two items of feedback, we have made two changes to our scheduled tours. The first is to offer our scheduled tours to the Douro and Rioja as individual day tours without accommodation for people who are holidaying in the area anyway and fancy the idea of a one or two-day wine-tour in the area.

The second change is that we are bringing prices down to a level that is only viable if we have six people. With this comes the codicil that the scheduled tours will only run if we have at least six people throughout. If we don’t have a minimum of six people by 30 days before the tour start we will advise people accordingly and return their money instantly.

So here are our Douro and Rioja wine-tours offered at their reduced price in whole or as short wine-tours without accommodation.
